Wouldn't it be loverly?

Lately I have thinking a lot about what it means to be lovely. In our culture(especially living in Hollywood)  loveliness as a quality of character which appears to have been forgotten. We easily have become focused on looking looking looking and doing doing doing. As a woman I feel my culture tells me that my strength and value is/should NOT be that "a gentle and quiet spirit(  I Peter 3: 4) " but instead   seductive, loud, confrontational and like men(which as a woman I take offense to... am I the only one?).

At church we have been studying 1 Peter and the overriding message I have taken from this study ,thus far, is that our differences( gender, role in life, ect) can be beautiful instruments to bringing glory to God. If we allow them to be used.

So how does my femininity bring glory to God?

How does our Femininity and Masculinity as a quality of our created design reflect our designer?

How can we as individuals and a body  affirm the differences in gender within our community and encourage our sisters to be lovely"delightful for beauty, harmonious and full of grace" and our brothers to be "Men" which is a definition which we appear to have lost the definition to?

I don't have the answers , but am on a journey. A journey to discover how my life and my created design   can reflect God's glory. I am excited to discuss and share with you this Journey to live as lovely in Hollywood.
